emnisense offers a range of knowledge and technical services to its clients. Those can be grouped into several main areas: knowledge, proposal writing, and technical services. In terms of pricing, we offer standard hourly or daily rates, in addition to bespoke pricing for longer term engagements.

Knowledge

We have experience of a wide range of sensor technologies, in addition to topics in automation and robotics. Based on our academic background, our extensive international network, and our R&D experience we are in a unique position to offer advice to assist organisations in the exploration, planning, delivery, or operation of relevant technologies. For example, we can help you better understand the functionality of technologies, relevant standards, as well as their limitations. We may also be able to suggest ways to achieve what your organisation needs, even when there are no existing off-the-shelf solutions!

Proposal Writing

Public funding provides a great means to reduce risk in the early stages of the R&D cycle, as well as enabling access to resources (e.g., knowledge, facilities) that are often financially out of reach. Funding is available nationally (Research Council Norway) and internationally (European Commission) to help initiatives as they progress from early to advanced Technology Readiness Level (TRL). Writing successful proposals for public funding is challenging, however. Competition is high, and the complexity of applications has grows. Coming from our academic roots, we have been highly successful in attracting R&D funding, and are active in the review processes for current schemes. We are therefore in a unique position to help you navigate this area! Specifically we can offer help with:

• Advice regarding specific funding mechanisms relevant to your ideas
• Assistance with proposal writing
• Help with finding partners for your Consortium
• Review of proposals prior to submission

We are also able to participate in Norwegian and Eureopean R&D initiatives, if you feel we have something relevant to offer.

Technical Services

Based on our broad range of experience and in-house facilities, we are able to offer a considerable variety of technical competences. Those include:

• Microwave sensor design, simulation, and characterisation
• Communications for low-power sensor networks and RFID systems
• Programming in several languages, including C, C++, C#, Matlab, and Python
• Machine learning and AI implementation for sensor data analysis and predictive outputs
• strong>Full stack development to facilitate cross-platform sensor data collection, storage, processing, and visualusation
• Microelectronics development on various MCU platforms including ST, Atmel and Infineon
• Printed circuit board design, including limited run in-house assembly during project prototying/demonstration phases
• 3D CAD design using Solidworks
• FDM printing in a range of materials using the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon
